About Community Voices
In addition to the global index and country rankings, the HANCI report provides individual and collective accounts of government actions and intentions on hunger and undernutrition. This data is not used directly for calculating the index but it was important for us to reflect the views and experiences of the communities most affected by hunger and undernutrition and we felt that this enriches the index findings for these countries and helps with their interpretation.
We have worked with partners in 4 countries - Bangladesh, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia – to collect the views and perceptions of hunger and undernutrition experts and affected communities.
You can read a full analysis of this in the HANCI report. The slideshows and videos on this page give a flavour of what we found.
